The Microwave Generator Unit has been designed for the eradication of dry wood termites and wood destroying beetles living with wood timber and framing of furniture and structures.
The means of treatment consists of administering a lethal dose of microwaves at the areas of infestation. During procedure thermal cooking occurs to infestation within infested timbers. Immediately upon completion of treatment, it is safe for re-entry because no microwaves remain behind, this is similar to opening the door on a household microwave oven after cooking with it. Microwave treatment of insects is not a new technology, in fact, it has been around and in use for 15 years. We do believe it is becoming more in demand as the public becomes more aware of the environmental and health problems caused by conventional fumigation with poisonous gases.
